TogetherKC has conducted an in-depth study of the homeless population in Kansas City and its metropolitan area.
Through detailed demographic data collection, we have achieved a statistically significant and reliable representation of the homeless community. This data has enabled us to take meaningful and targeted actions, including:

Mapping Homeless Encampments and Population Density

• Developed a comprehensive map of encampments across the city, identifying their locations and population densities.
• Assessed the scale of food and vital supply needs, alongside the frequency required for effective distribution.
• Integrated GIS mapping tools to optimize delivery routes, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely distribution across Kansas City.

Developing a Logistics and Distribution Plan

• Created a logistical framework to meet the needs of both encampment and non-encampment homeless individuals.
• Identified resource requirements, including transportation, storage facilities, and volunteer manpower, to implement the distribution effectively.

Identifying and Addressing Restriction Barriers
